Small Business Liaison
Raleigh-Wake Human Resource Management Association (RWHRMA) explores opportunities to support small businesses. For additional information, please contact the RWHRMA Small Business Liaison.
Small business owners/operators/managers are invited attend any of the chapter events to enhance their knowledge of human resources and increase their skills relative to human resources to grow their business. Events and programs are listed on the Calendar of Events and registration is open to guests/non-members.
In addition, Associate Membership may be a valuable resource for the small business by providing access to member pricing plus the online resources available through RWHRMA and the national association, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Membership to RWHRMA does require membership to SHRM.
RWHRMA hosts an Ask the HR Professional forum available to members to ask questions of members with specific expertise. SHRM maintains sample job descriptions, compensation information, sample policies and much more. Businesses seeking to grow their business and build their human capital effectively will enjoy many value-added benefits.
Do you need a speaker for a presentation or workshop related to Human Resources? RWHRMA is in the process of creating a Speakers Bureau to connect small businesses and the community to members for potential presentations or workshops related to HR topics. As a valuable resource for your small business RWHRMA would like to provide a link to The Small Business Center at Wake Tech Community College. As a part of the Small Business Center Network of North Carolina, this state funded organization provides small business owners with counseling information, education seminars and international programs they need for starting or expanding their small business.
